If he survives, Charles Wilkins will write another book, about his possibly last great adventure - a 3000 mile record breaking row across the Atlantic. The 61-year-old writer, nominated for the Stephen Leacock Award and recently acclaimed for his account of a summer spent working in a cemetery, “In the land of the Long fingernails”, did not hesitate to sign clause three on his contract - agreeing to immediate burial at sea if he “croaks”. This spirit of adventure was captured in the March 2010 Doc Challenge film “Life is but a Dream” the only Canadian finalist of 12 to play at Hot Docs winning an honourable mention and was sold to Documentary Channel USA.
