At the Edge is a short film about a thriving community focused on grappling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and other combat sports. Participation comes with a price. Many bare scars, but battle wounds rarely discourage these warriors.
This is our teams first film. We shot it over a weekend during: Docs North an introduction to film and harm reduction workshop in 2018. This was a jumping off point for our team and brought us to chase the larger story. Our next documentary is currently in production. It explores using Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to cope with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
